Aristidis G. Vrahatis was born in Kalamata, Greece in 1987. He received his Ph.D. in 2016 from the Computer Science and Engineering Department (CEID), where he graduated in 2011 and received his M.Sc. Diploma in the program ‘Computer Science and Technology’ in 2012. His research focuses on developing novel algorithms in Computational Intelligence, Bioinformatics and Systems Biology. He is deeply interested in network-based methodologies for clarifying the mechanisms of complex diseases and complex biological processes. He has published 4 journal papers and 13 conference papers. The accumulated IF of the published journal papers is 17.261 and the average IF is 4.31. According to Google Scholar his work has been cited 17 times. He is a member of the Laboratory for Graphics, Multimedia and GIS of the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department. Additionally, he is external collaborator at Biosignal Lab, in Medical School of University of Patras.
